The Artisans' House and the Tea House are next to the old church with the wooden tower, and are open from spring until autumn. Here visitors can purchase traditional souvenirs and tasty delicacies.
Available forms of entertainment:
In the yard of the artisans' house women wearing traditional costumes receive guests and serve them glasses of apricot brandy. Griddle cakes are baked in a large open-air oven, while the local women demonstrate weaving and make popcorns. They dress a volunteer lady in colourful local folk costume and take the visitors for a walk to show them the sights in the centre of the village.
After the walk tasty snacks made in the open-air oven are served in the wine-cellar of the Artisans' House. |

Muskátli Restaurant

At their arrival a lady clad in traditional Hollóko folk costume (Aunt Piroska) receives the guests and offers them pálinka (brandy), mineral water and crackling scones. She wakes memories of the past by speaking in a characteristic dialect about colours, patterns, love affairs and traditions. In order to make the atmosphere complete, she dresses two volunteers in traditional costumes and they dance together as if they were in a wedding party.
Then she heats pop corn, which the guests can enjoy immediately.
The group is taken on a short sightseeing walk in the centre of the village where they are told about the treasures of Palóc folk architecture and the church building: the tour is just perfect to whet the appetite for a traditional, tasty Palóc lunch.
The elements of entertainment and the meals must alwayso be arranged in advance.
