The Artisans' House and the Tea House are next to the old church with the wooden tower, and are open from spring until autumn. Here visitors can purchase traditional souvenirs and tasty delicacies.

Available forms of entertainment:

In the yard of the artisans' house women wearing traditional costume receive the guests and serve them glasses of apricot brandy. Griddle cakes are baked in a large open-air oven, while the local women demonstrate weaving and make popcorns. They dress a volunteer lady in colourful local folk costume and take the visitors for a walk to show them the sights in the centre of the village.

After the walk tasty snacks made in the open-air oven are served in the wine-cellar of the Artisans' House.

Muskátli Restaurant

The exclusive Muskátli (geranium) Restaurant was opened in the romantic central part of the village, close to historic sights, in 1987. It also has a romantic terrace which can be used in the summer. Traditional local Palóc meals and enjoyable folklore events.

The restaurant is an ideal place for getting together with members of the family, friends and colleagues.

You can pay with credit cards, holiday vouchers and coupons for meals.

Vár (Castle) Restaurant

Vár (castle) Restaurant is in the protected centre of Hollókő, this World Heritage village, in houses which keep the characteristic signs of the 17th century folk architecture. It can accommodate almost 140 guests. In the summer the terrace is big enough for 60 more customers. Traditional local meals and Palóc specialities throughout the year.

You can drink cold beer or soft drinks if you are thirsty. We have dough fried in an oven, fresh home-made strudel, shortbread, or even slices of bread and dripping with onion if you are hungry – also for events when ordered in advance.
